Shelby, a 3 year old Buckeye hen, came to visit our M-Th 3's class recently. She was reluctant to leave her cage, but had so much fun looking at the children that she didn't want to get back in!
We learned that she lays eggs every day and loves to eat grass and worms. Shelby and her other hen friends live with the Weaver Family.
