The 4's and 5's had some snowball fun with Ms. Mary Jo this week.  They also talked about the Super Bowl and played with some footballs as well.

Courtenay Vass, of the Greensboro Science Center's Animal Outreach Program, visited our 3's and 4's/5's classes on Thursday Jan. 15.  Courtenay brought a skunk, a snake, a box turtle, a hedgehog, and a chicken for the children to see.   She also introduced nocturnal, diurnal, and crepuscular as new vocabulary words!  Click on title to see more photos!

Our 4's/5's, dressed in Pilgrim and Indian costumes that they made, enjoyed a Thanksgiving Feast together.  They sang songs of Thanksgiving and offered the Johnny Appleseed blessing before enjoying their feast of turkey, corn muffins, applesauce, pumpkin pie and popcorn!   Click the title to see lots more photos!

Our 4's/5's took their first Field Trip of the year to the Millstone Creek Apple Orchards on Thursday 9/25.  The children enjoyed a hayride, picked some apples and sampled apple juice that they helped squeeze.  It was a great family day at the Orchard!  Click on the title to see slideshow.

We splashed, sprinkled, searched for underwater treasure, tossed beach balls and even washed Cozy Coupe Cars during Water Day on June 26.  After lots of wet fun, we wrapped ourselves in our towels.

During "Wind Week" we enjoyed bubbles, sailboats, wind chimes, kites, pinwheels and the wind blowing our hair!  We observed the wind blowing the leaves of our playground shade trees, as well as, the wind blowing raindrops against the windows - What a "winderful" week of sensory experiences!    Click on the title for more "Wind Week" photos.
